I have a Reality Checks hold on my student account. How do I get the hold lifted?

All incoming first year & transfer students for spring 2017 semester under 21 as of 1/1/17 are required to attend the Booze, Sex, & Reality Checks workshop. Should you fail to attend the Booze, Sex, & Reality Checks (BSRC) workshop, a registration hold will be placed on your student account and you will not be able to register for the following semester until you complete the requirement.

If you have a Reality Checks hold on your student account, the only way to remove the hold is for you to attend a BSRC workshop.

How soon will the hold be lifted?

After you attend the class, it may take up to two business days to have the hold removed from your student account. If the hold remains on your student account past this timeframe, please email ad.caps@wsu.edu.

Can I have my hold temporarily lifted?

Holds cannot be lifted temporarily. The only way to have the hold removed from your account is to attend the program.

I have a Reality Checks hold on my registration, but I already attended the workshop. What do I do?

Send an email to ad.caps@wsu.edu with the following:

  • Your full name
  • Your student ID #
  • The date, time, and location of the class you attended
  • Group you attended with (i.e. did you attend during Greek recruitment, with residence hall, international programs, or during a make-up session)?

We will check records and send a return email as soon as possible.

To receive credit for the workshop, you need to sign in and scan your WSU ID card. If you cannot be located in the attendance files, you will not receive credit for attending and your hold cannot be removed.
